We are supporting a highly specialised, niche manufacturing business in their search for a new Production Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to drive process improvements in manufacturing and expand your management experience. The business is independently owned and has a reputation for excellence in their specialist field. This role is Monday to Thursday only, 40 hours a week.Responsibilities include:
  • Set and deliver departmental strategy, goals & objectives
  • Customer satisfaction – ensure department maintains focus towards meeting and exceeding customer expectations (including OTD, Quality, issue investigation & resolution and general responsiveness)
  • Lean – lead and develop a strategy to deploy appropriate LEAN initiatives to enhance business operation and drive continuous improvements
  • Process & procedure review and enhancement across the department
  • Continuously initiating and delivering improvements on efficiency, quality and productivity
  • Reduction of waste
  • Staff development through effective training schemes & development plans to enable effective departmental succession and support
  • Training employees to enable total flexibility within the workforce
  • Managing site stock effectively within the production environment and to assist & drive site inventory reduction activities
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for all staff. To lead and drive an effective department EHS performance
