Join one of the largest manufacturers locally, renowned for market-leading innovation and commitment to quality. Our client is seeking a Part-Time HR/Payroll Administration Support to ensure the smooth operation of the payroll and HR functions, supporting over 200 colleagues.
Day-to-day of the role:Payroll Duties:
- Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK employment laws.
- Review and collate payroll information prepared by other departments.
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, leave, and deductions.
- Liaise with HMRC regarding tax codes, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
- Support in the preparation of P45s, P60s, and pension contributions.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees.
HR Duties:
- Maintain and update HR records, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Support recruitment processes, including posting job adverts and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including contract preparation and right-to-work checks.
- Support employee benefits administration and absence management.
- Provide general HR administrative support, including handling confidential documents.
- Previous experience in payroll and/or HR administration is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Own Transport is essential
- Knowledge of UK payroll processes, HMRC regulations, and employment law.
- Proficiency in payroll/HR software (e.g., Pegasus, Xero, Sage, BrightPay, or similar).
- Knowledge of Payroll OR HR Administration will be considered
