HR/Payroll Administration Support

Join one of the largest manufacturers locally, renowned for market-leading innovation and commitment to quality. Our client is seeking a Part-Time HR/Payroll Administration Support to ensure the smooth operation of the payroll and HR functions, supporting over 200 colleagues.

Day-to-day of the role:

Payroll Duties:

  • Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Review and collate payroll information prepared by other departments.
  • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, leave, and deductions.
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding tax codes, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
  • Support in the preparation of P45s, P60s, and pension contributions.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees.

HR Duties:

  • Maintain and update HR records, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
  • Support recruitment processes, including posting job adverts and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including contract preparation and right-to-work checks.
  • Support employee benefits administration and absence management.
  • Provide general HR administrative support, including handling confidential documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in payroll and/or HR administration is preferred. 
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Own Transport is essential 
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of UK payroll processes, HMRC regulations, and employment law.
  • Proficiency in payroll/HR software (e.g., Pegasus, Xero, Sage, BrightPay, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Payroll OR HR Administration will be considered
