Day-to-day of the role:- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing and sending order confirmations.
- Maintain accurate shipping records using Excel and coordinate order details with customers and suppliers.
- Manage and verify shipping documents, ensuring all information is correct and discrepancies are addressed.
- Communicate effectively with hauliers, suppliers, and customers about shipping and delivery details.
- Handle customer queries from order confirmation to delivery, ensuring a smooth process and timely updates.
- Process post-delivery checks, manage claims, and liaise with the accounts team for invoicing and delivery documentation.
- Support planning tasks for contract customers and liaise with logistics partners for booking and confirming deliveries.
- Assist with contract tracking to ensure visibility of order volumes and delivery schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- A proactive and reliable approach to task and timeline management.
- Willingness to learn and adapt; training will be provided.
- Previous experience in an administrative, office, or customer service role is advantageous.
- Interest in logistics or sales support is a bonus.
- Right to work in the UK.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
