Danaher & Walsh is a long-established civil engineering contractor operating across the Midlands, East Anglia and Lincolnshire, which is experiencing ongoing growth. Due to this increased level of business, an opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager working on our contract with Anglian Water.
Job Role
To manage and supervise civil engineering projects at site level. To drive the quality, productivity levels and health and safety performance of operational teams, support resources and assigned sub-contractors within the Anglian Water Framework.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure that operations are carried out in an effective, efficient and safe manner to provide a service to our customers with availability in line with all relevant Water Recycling and environmental protection standards.
- Work across the organisation ensuring our teams are aware of how their activities can impact upon compliance (i.e. Pollution, Flooding, LOS etc), making sure that decisions are made to drive compliance across our process areas.
- Work across business processes to look for ways to improve our processes, driving efficiency, whilst managing risk to compliance.Ensure our operations focus on delivering quality, and right first time approach to delivery.
- Coordinate site activities including management of plant, materials, traffic management, associated subcontract activities.
- Keep a close account of costs, including purchasing, labour resources and hire, including monitoring the need for and use of hired-in plant and equipment.Â
- Ensure the optimum method of construction is used and that it meets all the required standards.
