Excellent Opportunity for a Skilled Mechanical Engineer


We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met by maintaining and improving equipment performance, both proactively and reactively.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide engineering support to the production team, ensuring timely response to maintenance needs

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency and reliability

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and availability

  • Use the PPM system (SAP) to log all engineering labour and parts usage


Requirements:


  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering (must be recognised in the UK)

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (National Level 2 Standard)

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage fluctuating workloads

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions

  • Ability to make timely decisions and take appropriate action

  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
