WRG is excited to be supporting one of the UKs leading multidisciplinary consultancies with their recruitment for a Senior H&S Consultant & Trainer to join their team in Oxford.

Our client has ambitious plans for the year ahead and would like to appoint an experienced H&S professional to deliver a H&S/ CDM services for clients across Oxfordshire (typically focusing on commercial, education, university, healthcare, leisure, residential, and industrial projects across the region).

They would also like the person to deliver training to H&S/ CDM professional, designers, architects and principal contractors across the UK. They will be delivering the APS Principal Designer courses, with plans to build and develop a team of training coordinators to expand and grow this service.

It is a unique opportunity which offers excellent progression throughout our clients structure, the role would suit an experienced H&S/ CDM professional with 3 5 years experience in the sector and who is driven to grow and develop a new service and workstream.

Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver Principal Design work in line with CDM regulations.

Provide expert health and safety consultancy within the construction sector.

Develop and deliver bespoke training programs, workshops, and seminars on CDM and safety in design principles.

Support project teams in maintaining the highest health and safety standards.

Conduct site inspections and monitoring visits to assess compliance.

Work independently on smaller projects and collaborate on larger projects to fulfil Principal Designer and CDM Advisor duties.

Identify and develop new business opportunities and contribute to bid submissions and fee proposals.

What They Are Looking For:

Proven CDM consultancy experience, with a deep understanding of the CDM Regulations.

PTTLS or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar professional qualification.

Experience delivering APS (Association for Project Safety) training (desirable).

Incorporated Member of APS or happy to work towards this.

Additional qualifications such as the NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience as a consultant is preferred over contractor-side experience.
