A Primary school in Mainstream have recently opened a resource unit for the children with SEN within their school and therefore are looking for a Psychology/Criminology (or similar degree) Graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs, Autism and Learning Disabilities. Candidates with relevant SEN experience will also be considered! The Primary SEN School is in Woodstock. The SEN children are aged 3 to 11 and require consistent, ongoing support in order to ensure they have the highest quality of care and child-centred support. Experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential. Graduates in a similar field will also be considered (e.g. Psychology, Criminology etc). You will be working in a small class of 12 SEN children, alongside therapists, psychologists, teachers and other support staff.

The appointed SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy within Key Stage 1 and 2 and the teaching assistant's primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson.

A graduate with a strong educational background is required for this role including GCSE's in Maths and English (C or above). A fully approved/valid DBS check is required.
