Head of Supply Chain | Woodstock | £55,000pa - £65,000pa plus bonus & benefits:An industry leading scientific device manufacturer, who spun out of the university of Oxford is looking to recruit a Head of Supply Chain to lead and manage a small friendly Supply Chain function. This excellent opportunity combines team leadership, supply chain improvement including strategic sourcing, demand planning, on-time delivery, supplier relationships and negotiations.  Head of Supply Chain will also be responsible for the following:
  • Manage daily supply chain activities: identify material needs, negotiate prices and delivery and work closely with the purchasing team to support them with the order process.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support business growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and report on supplier performance, addressing issues as needed.
  • Support inventory control during stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
 Essential Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement Management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge and use of SAP-B1, SAGE200 or similar integrated ERP systems.
  • Dynamic individual with keen problem-solving abilities, “think on your feet” and a desire to always do better.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to provide and take part in 360° Feedback.
  • Excellent time and people management skills when dealing with multiple projects and tasks on a daily basis.
  • A specific focus on attention to detail
  • A background in shipping low to medium-volume manufactured scientific instrumentation would be highly desirable.
