- Manage daily supply chain activities: identify material needs, negotiate prices and delivery and work closely with the purchasing team to support them with the order process.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support business growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Evaluate, monitor, and report on supplier performance, addressing issues as needed.
- Support inventory control during stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement Management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge and use of SAP-B1, SAGE200 or similar integrated ERP systems.
- Dynamic individual with keen problem-solving abilities, “think on your feet” and a desire to always do better.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Able to provide and take part in 360° Feedback.
- Excellent time and people management skills when dealing with multiple projects and tasks on a daily basis.
- A specific focus on attention to detail
- A background in shipping low to medium-volume manufactured scientific instrumentation would be highly desirable.
