We are seeking a Financial Controller/Accountant to oversee the accounting operations within a Manufacturing company. This role is ideal for a professional who is adept at managing teams and has a keen interest in contributing to growth and engaging in strategic projects.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and professional growth.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, including preparation of financial statements and budget reports.
  • Monitor and analyse department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, instituting and maintaining other planning and control procedures.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance and accounting teams.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Proficient in SAP accounting Software
