Your new companyHays Senior Finance are exclusively partnering with a fast-paced and dynamic business in the Worcester area as they look to recruit a driven Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

Established over 20 years ago, this rapidly growing online retail business are going from strength-to-strength and are now seen as a leading label for the youth market.

Your new roleIn this newly created role reporting directly into the Finance Director, you will manage the completion of group accounts whilst offering key insight and analysis to the wider business.

Key duties:

  • Reviewing and completing full group accounts for the business
  • Providing accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective decision-making and organisational strategies
  • Completing end-to-end audits of the finance team
  • Assisting with the company structure, corporate compliance, cash and FX management
  • Co-ordinating preparation of the budget and summarising trends
  • Overseeing VAT and GST processes, as well as US Sales Tax
  • Develop processes and strengthen internal procedures
  • Assistance with gathering information for statutory audits, inspections and reviews
  • Line management of Finance Manager

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - QBEs will be considered providing relevant experience can be demonstrated
  • Comfortable being hands-on and recent experience of providing rigorous day-to-day financial control
  • Commercially-minded with the confidence to influence key stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with the ability to co-ordinate/interrogate financial information and data
  • Skilled at improving/developing internal processes and controls
  • Management and development of finance staff
  • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and good working knowledge of accounting software (Oracle NetSuite highly advantageous)
