The Role We are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to support a manufacturing site during a transition period. This role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance variance analysis, while ensuring SOX compliance and strong internal controls. The position requires hands-on engagement with senior leadership, operations, and commercial finance teams to drive financial accuracy and control. To be successful within this role, my client is looking for a Qualified Accountant with experience working within a similar role. You will be experienced with SOX testing, reporting and management. You will be responsible for the statutory accounting and supporting the wider business. Key Responsibilities: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis against actuals. Provide financial reports and insights to senior leadership. Ensure SOX compliance, define controls, and strengthen governance. Work closely with operations and commercial finance to optimise margins. Key Requirements: ? Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with manufacturing/automotive experience. ? Strong SOX & internal controls expertise - ability to define and implement controls. ? Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. ? Hands-on, able to challenge operational teams and drive improvements. ? Available for 5 days on-site initially, with hybrid option later.
