Job Type:Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)Salary:Up to £50,000 per annumLocation:WorcesterHours:Mon-Thurs (8.30-5.15) and Fri (8.30-3.30)Your new companyHays Senior Finance are supporting a great business in Worcester as they look to recruit a Management Accountant for a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave. Our client is very much a leader in their industry, specialising in the manufacture and supply of medical device products for hospitals in the UK as well as around the world.Your new roleReporting into the Financial Controller, you will join a close-knit team and be responsible for producing detailed financial reports, budgets and forecasts alongside providing key analysis.Main duties:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Perform detailed variance analysis, highlighting key variances and trends
  • Monitor cash flows, prepare cash forecasts and support financial planning
  • Provide insights to departmental heads, assisting in cost management and decision-making
  • Support in the preparation of year-end accounts and external audits
  • Assist in process improvement work and the implementation of more efficient reporting measures

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
  • Strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis
  • Manufacturing background preferred with an understanding of standard costing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps etc.) and familiarity with accounting software
