A highly regarded Housing Association, based conveniently in Worcester, is currently seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join specialised teams managing a substantial portfolio of properties. As a Service Charge Accountant, your role will be diverse, with each day bringing new challenges as you manage a range of housing properties. You will oversee financial reporting, from accruals and prepayments to budgeting and forecasting for all funds associated with each property, including service charges, ground rent, sinking funds, VAT, and deposits. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing detailed reports for your senior management, delivering these reports in person, and providing insights to foster strong relationships.

Skills required

  • Previous experience in Service Charge Accounting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate client interaction.
  • Experience in producing management reports for senior stakeholders, covering revenue, variances, and forecasts.
  • Adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.
