GMP Recruitment’s Executive Search Team are proud to announce their recruitment search for an experienced Managing Director who can effectively manage and grow a £30M engineering business with 80 employees in UK and India, located at their Worcestershire site.

What’s on offer?
- Salary: £75,000.00 - £125,000.00
- Fully expensed Company car or car allowance
- Pension Contribution 4.5% by both parties
- Performance related bonus at 25% of the base salary per annum
- Holiday entitlement 25 days
- Death in service twice annual salary
To be considered candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and demonstrate previous experience as a General Manager or Managing Director with full P&L responsibility for at least 5years and expert commercial and operational experience.
MD main duties:
- Manage customer relationships while maintaining profitability.
- Develop new business opportunities and set and meet annual budget expectations.
· Collaborate with other General Managers within the business segment to grow the business.
- Overseas travel is a requirement to achieve the above.
- Execute on the company strategy to reach and exceed targets for top line revenue growth and EBITDA or operating income based on short term as well as long term goals.
- Prepare and present the Annual Plan and Long-Range Development.
- Direct overall manufacturing, installation and commercial operations.
- Assess future growth initiatives based on rigorous analysis of market attractiveness and sustainable differentiation potential.
- Improve standardisation of processes and workflow.
- Lead and develop current leadership team and identify high potential talent within the organisation to enable individuals to flourish in their career with Sierra CP Engineering.
- Identify critical skill sets and create succession plans. Ensure metrics are in place to monitor performance against the goals and take appropriate corrective actions as required.
- Develop and implement a supply strategy in line with demand requirements, including scheduling and inventory control.
- Standardise a forum for sharing and implementing "Best Practices" for product and manufacturing specifications; and coordinate key performance indicators to measure and improve manufacturing capabilities and costs.
MD required skills and experience:
· Previous experience as a General Manager or MD with full P&L responsibility for at least 5years.
· Blend of commercial and operational experience.
· Strong business acumen with prior experience directing and motivating a team.
· Experience driving top line growth, and continued improvement in EBITA performance.
· Proven ability to make quality decisions and set appropriate priorities.
· Demonstrated track record of training and developing individuals and the overall team.
· Strong experience as an individual contributor in product marketing, product development, or sales.
