SENIOR SALES MANAGER / WORCESTER / COMPANY CAR / £50,000 TO £65,000 PER ANNUM

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Manager to join a market leading organisation looking to build a global brand.

Our client is a manufacturing business, based in Worcester, and is experiencing significant growth. With expansion plans underway, they are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Sales Manager to join their team.

The Senior Sales Manager will be essential in driving our client’s business forward. Reporting to the CEO, this role involves overseeing and leading all sales and marketing activities, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the successful execution of these plans to meet their growth objectives.

The Senior Sales Manager role will also include hands-on sales of key accounts and market development, with a clear goal of export expansion across several strategic market sectors. This role will be office-based when not traveling to visit customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Sales Manager:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve objectives.
  • Lead and manage the sales and marketing teams, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Develop relationships with key customers and target accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
  • Analyse market trends and competitors to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sales and marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Engage in hands-on sales of key accounts and market development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Drive export expansion across several strategic market sectors.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of success in a senior management role.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Willingness to travel on a weekly basis.
