Senior Business Development – manufacturing – metal fabrication - automotive - remote

I’m currently working with a group of three well-established manufacturing businesses in the West Midlands with a combined 200-year history and £15m turnover, supplying largely into the automotive sector.

We're currently looking for a motivated salesperson with a technical background alongside a proven track record in generating high-value business growth.

You will be driving strategic growth across the group by working at a high-level alongside the senior leadership team (MD, FD, and 3x GMs), optimising a large existing customer base, and developing new business relationships. Due to the group's structure, this role has an exciting progression route into commercial leadership.

Package: Base salary negotiable up to £70k + company vehicle of your choice up to £50k value.

Location: Remote (hybrid across the West Midlands for the first 3 months).

Duration: Permanent.

Requirements:

  • Extremely motivated and tenacious, with a proven track record in generating high-value business growth.
  • Technical background with an understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes (ideally CNC, welding, and pressing/stamping).
  • Personable character with excellent communication skills at all levels and personality types.
  • A senior sales professional who can define and drive a sales strategy.
  • Motivated to be present across the three sites, within the initial period, to become familiar with key team members and business capabilities.
