About the Business

An opportunity to be a Credit Controller for an established distribution company based in Worcester. They are looking for an all-round, experienced credit controller. This business has built a great reputation and gives you a fantastic chance to be a part of an expanding and exciting team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable, including chasing debt via telephone, follow-up emails and letters to ensure a high level of cash flow for group companies.
  • Accurately apply cash receipts to relevant accounts and keep the ledger up to date.
  • Reduce overdue debt through proactive debt chasing and meticulous compliance of credit control policy.
  • Maintain and pay rebates to customers per agreement.
  • Provide day to day management of all dispute-related activity on behalf of the credit department improving turnaround times and reducing the value of disputed debt and decreasing debtor days.
  • Engage with the sales and customer service teams, plus business partners and clients to resolve disputes, pricing issues and provide POD’s.
  • Investigate and raise return authorisations to issue credit notes and refunds as necessary.
  • Handle inbound calls, investigate, and resolve customer queries, disputes, and issues, and manage daily banking and accurately allocate payments onto the system
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reporting.
  • Ensure all actions relating to credit control; calls/payment promises/disputes are recorded on NetSuite
  • Ensure that the credit department’s standard operation processes (SOP’s) are fully documented and maintained.
  • Provide support and cover to finance team, as and when necessary.

Location / Office / Culture

The role is office based in Worcester. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team of 10.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • AAT/CIMA or QBE
  • Strong Experience as a Credit Controller is essential
  • Previous experience of working with NetSuite is preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills - be able to manage your own workload
  • Ability to managed tight deadlines
  • Good MS Office skills
