My client is a well-established engineering company that specialises in producing innovative machinery and engineering solutions for the aerospace, automotive and power generation industry sectors. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your focus will be managing design projects from initial concept to delivery, 3D modelling and producing detailed technical designs using Solidworks.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;
- Manage design projects from initial concept to delivery
- Liaise with customers, understand their requirements and propose engineering solutions
- Produce detailed engineering designs using Solidworks
- Provide technical support to clients and the wider engineering team
- Be cross functional and support the areas of engineering when required
- Managing project deadlines and ensuring that all parties are updated
Mechanical Design Engineer Experience;
- Degree, HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of safety engineering standards and industry standards is essential
- Experienced using Solidworks software is a must
- Experienced in managing design projects from initial concept to delivery
- Must be a team player
This role as a Mechanical Design Engineer is based in Worcester and commutable from Kidderminster, Malvern, Droitwich, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Hereford.
