To provide administrative support following set procedures and exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Working with the judiciary at courts in around the Hereford & Worcester area. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

  • Communicate and work with the Judiciary and interpret accurately the information required on a court file,
  • Greeting court users before hearings and explain in court procedures, where required, to provide excellent customer experience.
  • Preparing papers and files for court hearings and meetings,
  • Preparing court documents and routine correspondence.
  • General photocopying and filing,
  • Data Input / Creating and updating records on in-house computer systems,
  • To work to workload targets in terms of throughput and accuracy,
  • Acting as an administrative liaison with internal and/or external sources.
  • Handling counter (face to face), written and telephone enquiries.


Typical qualifications and experience: five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Accurate typing skills.
