Head of Finance
Location:Worcester (Full-time, Onsite) Occasional Travel to Kidderminster and Coventry.
Salary:Circa £70,000 - £75,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits

Latham & Bond HR are working exclusively with a leading automotive manufacturing company in Worcester to recruit aHead of Finance. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring strong financial governance, and supporting strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will manage a team of four, including an Accounts Payable Officer, a Credit Controller, an Accounts Assistant, and a Management Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance.
- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the senior leadership team to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control to maintain financial stability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and external advisors.
- Support continuous process improvements and drive efficiencies within the finance department.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee payroll, tax, and VAT processes.
- Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight into business performance.
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in a senior finance role within the manufacturing or automotive sector would be desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive financial strategy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
