Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Salary: £41,784.25 per annum (including Shift Allowance)
Orion are working with a client within the heavy industrial sector and we are looking for a highly experienced Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with strong experience with Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of a wide range of plant machinery including - diecasting machines, presses, robotics, CNC, lubrication systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Fault finding and fault investigation on hydraulic systems
- Fabrication, welding and pipe work
- Operating equipment such as FLTs, cranes, slings, MEWPs, and lock-off systems when needed.
- Ensuring quality and administrative procedures are followed with precision and attention to detail.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years in a maintenance role with a strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine maintenance.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices related to machinery and operations.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Qualifications:
- City & Guilds (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent qualification, backed by a recognised apprenticeship.
Maintenance Engineer Salary: £41,784.25 per annum, including Shift Allowance.

Maintenance Engineer Shifts:
- 37.5 hours per week on a rotational double-day shift pattern:
- AM: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
- PM: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
