Job Description: Merchandiser

We’re looking for a self-motivated and physically fit Merchandiser to join a national team. Working from home, you will travel to garden centres across the West Midlands and Mid Wales.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Unloading Deliveries: Safely handling and moving garden pots and planters from delivery pallets to display areas.
  • Creating Displays: Creating and maintaining attractive retail displays to showcase products.
  • Communication: Liaise with the manager in each store to ensure complete customer satisfaction and address any questions.

This is a physically demanding role and strength, stamina and a great work ethic are essential.

About the Company:

A leading importer / distributor of garden pots and planters that supplies garden centre throughout the UK. Customers are supported by a national team of Merchandisers who visit regularly to build and improve product displays that encourage high levels of sales.

Key Skills/Experience Required: Merchandiser

This is a home-based role where you have the opportunity to manage your time and plan your journeys to get the most out of each day. Suitable candidates might have relevant experience but could come from other physically demanding environments such as driving, deliveries, warehouse or labouring.

  • Experience: Previous merchandising or retail experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Fitness: The role involves hard physical work, so good physical health is a must.
  • Attention to detail: Don’t leave the customer until the job is finished!
  • Self-Starter: Able to manage your own time and work independently.
  • Communication: You need to confident in talking to customers and building relationships with store based staff.
  • Driver’s License: A small van is provided and a full driving licence is essential.
