About the Role:
We're seeking experienced Safeguarding Social Workers to join our Children's Services team at Worcestershire County Council. You'll play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with children subject to Child Protection Plans, supporting families to address identified concerns.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including substance abuse workers, domestic violence workers, and emotional health and wellbeing workers.
- Chair core groups and regularly assess family progress.
- Support families in reducing risks and diverting from court proceedings.
- Undertake parenting and risk assessments to inform future planning.
- Initiate care proceedings when necessary and work towards securing permanence for children within the 26-week timescale.

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work England registration.
- Relevant social work qualifications (Degree or Diploma level).
- Significant experience in child protection work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
