Job Title: SEN Teacher (Permanent)Pay Rate: £34,121 per annumLocation: Worcestershire Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist school that provides education for students aged 11-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young autistic learners and creating a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

Job Requirements for this SEN Teacher role:• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary or Special Education• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with students with ASC• Experience using behaviour management and de-escalation techniquesStrong understanding of safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation• Experience delivering creative and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents/carersPassion for outdoor learning and incorporating it into lesson planning

Preferred Qualifications:• Autism Level 1 & 2• Team Teach training (or similar safe handling qualification)• First Aid certification

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Planning and delivering structured Schemes of Work tailored to students with ASC• Advocating and incorporating outdoor learning into lessons• Supporting students' personal and academic developmentManaging behaviour effectively and providing emotional support• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and assessment reports• Contributing to the school community and embedding British values into learning• Attending staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions
