Control Tower Team Leader

Job function/Scope:

We are currently recruiting for Control Tower Team Lead to effectively supervise the DMS team responsible for administration and control of the Security & Distribution Centre Delivery Management System. The role is responsible for coordinating personnel and ensuring the DMS team is resourced, motivated and competent to carry out duties. Based at our Lillyhall Control Tower (S&DC) and Reporting into the Site Manager we are looking for experienced supervisor with a proven track record.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the team in the control and co-ordination of the Delivery Management System (DMS)
  • Co-ordinate all activity and ensure the DMS is fully resourced as required, acting as first line of contact for personnel absence and holiday requests. Ensure that shift patterns are reflected of requirements operations and business requirements
  • Manage potential conflict and respond to contractor or customer concerns and complaints
  • Handle any system failures and minimise any unexpected downtime
  • Support the team and make decisions around the reassigning, updating, and cancelling DMS data
  • Provide an interface/point of contact for suppliers and management
  • Maintain regular communication with the Site Manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure current output/display is maintained and up to date and accurate
  • Liaise with client, suppliers, and other stakeholders through face-to-face, telephone and e-mail communication
  • Manage the administration and correcting of inaccuracies, effectively managing employee performance. Support performance with continual coaching and ensuring personnel are trained and competent
  • Gather and create effective reports for analysis around Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Comply with Level 2 of HSE Employee Responsibility and Accountability.
  • Comply with level 2 of Values & Behaviours.

Qualifications and experience

Essential Training (required for successful completion of probationary period):

· IOSH 4-day Managing Safely Certificate

· Lillyhall Emergency Arrangements Training

· DMS Operations, Access, and Control

· NAVMAN Operations, Access, and Control

· VOR – Operations, Access, and Control

· Sellafield Itinerant pager operations (Contractor)

· Peterson E-Learning Platform Completion

Other Training (required for successful completion of probationary period):

· Control Tower Administration Control

· TLT Management of Telephone Threat

· BMS Operational Awareness and Access

· Working knowledge of warehouse management and materials / transport planning

Desirable Qualifications / Training

· Previous experience in a customer relations role desirable but not essential

· Knowledge of logistics and transport desirable but not essential

SL Specific

· You will be required to attend and pass job specific Sellafield courses
