Sewell Wallis is working with a forward-thinking global company based out of Worksop who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for full time hours on a rolling contract! Flexible working is on offer, as are tons of progression opportunities and study support, you'll be joining a team that really values and invest in you. They're looking for someone intuitive, driven and keen to succeed!

Although initially this position will be on a rolling contract, there is a strong possibility for this to turn permanent after 6 months but this would be ideal for someone available immediately.

What will you be doing?

  • Reconciliation and processing of prepayments, accruals and standard charges.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation.
  • Preparation of the budgets and forecasts.
  • Monthly accounts for overhead costs.
  • Quarterly preparation of VAT returns.
  • Assist with preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax packs.
  • Processing journals.
  • Reconciliation of fixed asset control.
  • Management of company credit cards.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Willingness to studying towards ACCA/CIMA, or currently studying/qualified AAT.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills - including V-lookups and pivot tables.
  • Confident communicator both verbally and written.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Great customer service experience and skills.
