An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Flexi Workervacancies, based in Whitwell.

Reporting to Operations Team Leader and the Production Manager, the Flexi Worker will work an average of 46 hours per week but will be contracted to 48hr with the 2 hours used periodically to provide sickness cover etc. This varied and interesting job role requires a flexible attitude towards duties performed. The main function is to ensure the smooth running of the kiln operation as part of a team.

Normal working hours are 6am to 3 pm Monday to Friday, with shift work available (4 on 4 off 12hrs) to cover the shift assistants holidays/sickness.

Key tasks and Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operation of the laboratory process sampling and testing to agreed schedules, following relevant procedures including work instructions, and laboratory training instructions.

Reporting and releasing quality data inputting technical data onto spreadsheets, maintaining databases and other records with up-to-date analysis results.

Laboratory quality systems maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose.

Assisting the Team Leaders and Kiln Burners to achieve continual smooth operation of the kilns and auxiliary plant to maximize plant efficiently and help achieve productivity targets.

Bulk loading of products loading of containers and IBCs in a safe and timely manner.

Material handling Handling of lime-based products, including the operation of site vehicles and equipment and heavy plant.

Site hygiene duties Ensuring the site maintains a high standard and minimises Health & Safety risk to personnel and assisting with continual site improvement projects.

Ensure all tasks are carried out with regards to the associated Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, SSOWs and Permits to Work.

Assisting in the loading bay for day to day loading and bagging requirements

Assisting with additional sampling, testing and/or other duties as and when required.

SAP having an understanding on sap notification and how to raise them for production and maintenance requests.
