Elevation HR are delighted to be partnering with one of our manufacturing clients nr Worksop to identify a site HR Manager. The role will lead all HR operations for the site, supported by a HR Advisor and reporting into the Site Director and Group HRD.
This is site based role but offers flexibility (c1 day working from home if work volumes allow). There will also be occasional travel to a 2nd UK site.

The role operates as part of the global HR community and as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in the UK, promoting Group values and enabling business success through human resources management and the provision of value added HR services and support. This will include recruitment and selection, employee issues, performance management, talent management, training and development, employee relations and acting as point of contact for local managers and employees.
The site is Unionised and continuing and developing proactive relationships is essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implement agreed HR strategies both local and Group
- Contribute to the international HR network, collaborating with wider HR teams and business leaders
- Participate in Group initiatives focussed on growth and development
- Ensure appropriate implementation of policy and process & HR legislation
- Lead on change, restructures as required for the site
- Support the development of managers on site for all people related activities in line with business goals
- Develop and support the HR team
- Develop implementation of HRIS systems, responsible for effective reporting on all HR metrics
- Manage salary and pay reviews in conjunction with the Unions
- Lead on engagement, succession and retention plans for the site.
To be successful in this role:
- Overall we’re looking forward a strong HR Manager used to operating in unionised manufacturing environments
- Level 5 CIPD or degree qualified
- Excellent employment legislation and employment law knowledge
- Self-driven with the ability to work and make decisions autonomously
- Confident to lead and take full accountability and responsibility for the site HR function.
- Resilient, passionate and energetic to ensure continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and process
