1st Line IT Support Engineer (MSP) - Worksop - £27K (DOE)

A 1st Line IT Support Engineer with strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, good knowledge of networking technologies and ideally MSP experience is required by a well-established Microsoft Gold Partner near Worksop.

This award-winning MSP is offering plenty of career progression, with access to funding for Microsoft courses and regularly promote internally. Due to continued success and new contract wins, they are now looking for additional technical professionals to increase their capacity and skill sets as they continue to grow.

Key Skills:

  • 1+ year of IT Service Desk support experience (ideally within an MSP)
  • Active Directory
  • Office 365 / Office products
  • Group Policy (DNS/DHCP)
  • Understanding of TCP/IP
  • Hardware diagnosis, troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service providing remote support
  • Full UK Drivers licence

It would be advantageous if the ideal candidate had any relevant Microsoft or CompTIA certifications, and experience with VPN principles.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the remote support team diagnosing, resolving & escalating customer support issues
  • Ensure that tickets which are escalated to Field engineers are handed over properly and followed up until completion and to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Providing customers with regular feedback and updates on their issues
  • Ensure the service desk is kept up to date with progress on outstanding tickets
  • Ensure internal documentation is kept up to date
