Job Title: Steel Bending Operative
Location: Worksop

We are looking for an experienced Steel BendingOperative to join our team at a well-established precast company. This is an exciting opportunity, playing a vital role in the production process at a respected company in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating the Power Bender to cut and bend steel reinforcement bars to precise specifications.
  • Ensuring the correct bending and shaping of materials for use in precast concrete products.
  • Working closely with the production team to ensure that all requirements are met for each project.
  • Carrying out quality control checks on all work to ensure that it meets company standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting with the setup and calibration of the power bender machine.
  • Ensuring all bending tasks are completed within the required timeframes to meet production deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Power Bender Operative.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in bending and cutting.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts if required.
