Job Description:

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and reporting to relevant staff.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
  • A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
