We are currently seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant / Junior Buyer. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in purchasing and administrative support while growing within a dynamic environment.

Role Overview:

As an Admin Assistant / Junior Buyer, you will support the purchasing department with day-to-day administrative tasks and assist with procurement activities. This dual-role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in purchasing, with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage daily office tasks, including filing, data entry, and responding to emails.
    • Schedule meetings and appointments for the purchasing department.
    • Maintain and update supplier information in databases.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for internal use.
  • Purchasing Assistance:
    • Assist in sourcing and purchasing products/materials as directed by the Buyer.
    • Maintain and track purchase orders and delivery schedules.
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
    • Assist in analyzing inventory levels and forecast needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in an administrative role or purchasing/supply chain is preferred but not essential.
  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Qualifications:

    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Further education or certifications in business administration, procurement, or supply chain management is an advantage but not mandatory.
