VGC Group- Lowestoft are thrilled to be recruiting for a skilled CNC Machinist for our clients team in Suffolk on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a CNC Machinist you will support the manufacturing department in programming and setting the machines to accurate specifications, ensuring components are produced correct to drawing and delivered on time.

 

*Understand specifications of the task set and the desired result based on blueprints and mechanical drawings. *Prepare test runs to check if the machines produce outputs correctly.

*Prepare and operate 2&3 axis CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, milling and turning

*Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jack chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers.

*Translate instructions into computer commands.

 

 

Requirements-

 

*Experience programming CNC machines

*Skilled CNC operator

*Able to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

*Basic understanding of Conversational Programming- One CNC would be advantageous

*Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

*Understanding quality control principles

*Industry experience or successfully completed an apprenticeship
