This role will involve designing bespoke and standard enclosures for a range of industries, ensuring they meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in mechanical design, ideally with enclosures, sheet metal, or precision engineering
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
Knowledge of materials, sheet metal fabrication, and manufacturing processes
Experience with designing for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and customers

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Designing and developing mechanical enclosures for various applications
Producing 3D models, technical drawings, and BOMs for production
Optimizing designs for cost-effective manufacturing and assembly
Conducting design analysis, prototyping, and validation testing
Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Liaising with customers to understand their technical requirements
