Key Responsibilities:As an Autism Support Worker, you will:
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to provide individualised support to children with autism.Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment to help children thrive.Develop and implement tailored strategies to assist with communication, social skills, and daily routines.Provide hands-on support during class activities, playtime, and transitions to promote engagement and learning.Act as a positive role model, encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience.
What We're Looking For:Previous experience supporting children with autism or additional needs (preferred but not essential).A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and supportive in a dynamic school setting.A willingness to undertake training to enhance your skills in autism support.
