Role Overview

The Housing Services Manager will oversee the delivery of housing management services, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and align with our client’s mission to provide safe, secure, and affordable housing. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the housing services team, ensuring effective delivery of housing management and support services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with housing regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee the management of tenancy agreements, rent collection, and arrears, ensuring financial sustainability and tenant engagement.
  • Monitor property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with tenants, addressing concerns and resolving disputes promptly and effectively.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the delivery of integrated and effective housing services.
  • Analyse service performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to enhance service delivery.
  • Stay updated on housing legislation and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance across all areas of responsibility.
  • Represent our client at stakeholder meetings, community events, and other forums as required.
Skills and ExperienceEssential:
  • Proven experience in housing management or a similar role, with a track record of leading teams and delivering excellent housing services.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to handle complex issues and disputes effectively.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality housing services and supporting tenant well-being.
