Position: Waking Night Support Worker
Location: Kingswood
Salary: 13.00 per hour
OTE: 25,350 per annum
Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week (including every other weekend off)

Randstad has partnered with a family-run service supporting adults with additional needs. Their residential services provide 24hr support to service users where they receive tailored support. They are committed to providing a nurturing and structured environment where our service users can build confidence and develop life skills and live in a safe and caring environment.

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and patient Waking Night Support Worker to provide overnight support to a young adult with Autism and Learning Disabilities. The role focuses on ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort throughout the night while supporting her with limited personal care and promoting a routine.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide waking night support and ensure a secure environment
  • Assist with nighttime routines and offer emotional reassurance
  • Support with personal care needs as required
  • Encourage a structured nighttime schedule
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Work in accordance with a no-restraint policy
  • Handle any concerns or challenges calmly and professionally
  • Communicate effectively with the daytime team to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

  • Understanding of autism and learning disabilities
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to remain calm and patient during the night
  • A positive and nurturing approach to support
  • Driving license preferred
  • Female only due to client requirements
