Hays Senior Finance has been appointed by an established and growing company in the Wrexham area who are looking for a Financial Controller to take over from their existing accountant who is retiring. The business has been operating for nearly 20 years and has an established and loyal customer base which is growing. Turnover has steadily grown and heading towards £8m, generating healthy margins. This Financial Controller job presents an excellent opportunity for someone to take the business and accounts department to the next level and future proof it with improved financial controls and Management Information. The role will be hands-on and responsible for all management accounts and financial reporting. There is an experienced finance assistant who handles all transactional work as well as payroll calculations, but the Financial Controller then handles everything else. The business uses QuickBooks, but there is the opportunity to identify a more powerful system that will allow improved management reporting and analysis. The business is growing, and this role will work closely with the MD to manage this growth. This role will be full-time in the office until systems are improved, but this can be reviewed in the future.
