• Support the Team Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's services team.
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to social workers, ensuring best practices in safeguarding and care planning.
• Assist in managing complex cases, ensuring timely assessments, interventions, and reviews.
• Contribute to performance monitoring, ensuring the team meets service targets and statutory requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, supporting staff development and service innovation.

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales.
• Substantial experience in child protection and safeguarding within children's services.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and support staff in delivering high-quality interventions.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
