Salary:
£55,000 - £65,000 (DOE)
Orion is partnered with a well-established FMCG manufacturing company based in Wrexham which is recruiting for an ambitious and driven Engineering Project Manager

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Plan, execute, and close engineering projects while coordinating resources and schedules.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans to be shared with clients and stakeholders.
  • Administer project budgets, track costs, and find ways to minimise expenses.
  • Carry out risk management to reduce project risks and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Lead and coordinate both internal and external project teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide regular progress reports, proposals, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Track project performance and ensure the successful achievement of both short and long-term goals.
  • Adjust project scope, schedule, and costs as required, using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team atmosphere.

Engineering Project Manager Required Experience:

  • Previous experience managing large-scale capex engineering projects.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g. AGILE, PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Solid understanding of risk management and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and effectively allocating resources.

Engineering Project Manager Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Project Management certification (AGILE, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
  • Experience with project scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
