Role: Cynorthwy-ydd Dysgu/Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Pay: £83.33 - £85 a day

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm - Full and Part-time Positions available

ROLES SPECIFICATION:

  • Help teachers deliver EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Supervise and support learners in classrooms, group settings and one to one.
  • Support children with additional needs - SEND and EAL.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with parents, colleagues, and support services.
  • Demonstrate outstanding classroom practice and have young learners at the heart of all they do.
  • Assist with support strategies to meet individual learner needs.
  • Ability to deliver education and support through the medium of Welsh.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Fluent Welsh Speaker
  • No qualifications needed but desirable
  • Show initiative and have a learner centred classroom approach
  • Clear understanding of Safeguarding or willing to undertake training
  • Be outgoing, positive, and forward thinking
  • Have the drive and determination to make a difference
  • Right to work in the UK
  • All applicants will be subject to thorough employment checks and must have an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service certificate in place.
  • Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will need to apply for a new certificate through Tradewind Recruitment. Payable by the candidate and refunded by us after working for 20 days!
  • Candidates must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in education in Wales. Registration fee payable by the candidate.
