Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a paper packaging manufacturer, in their search for a Purchasing Coordinator to work from their site in Wrexham. 

For the successful Purchasing Coordinator our client is offering:

  • Up to £28,000 per annum 
  • Monday - Friday, Days role, 0900 - 1730
  • Permanent contract 
  • Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, free parking, company pension

The role - Purchasing Coordinator: 

  • Create and process purchase orders, ensuring all details are accurate and clear, and send them to suppliers for confirmation.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm product availability, negotiate pricing, and establish production and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor production schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure that deliveries are made on time and in full.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to resolve any delays or issues, and escalate any concerns as necessary.
  • Monitor the status of payments
  • Keep accurate records of all purchasing activities, supplier communications, and financial transactions to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities are compliant with company policies and procedures

What our client is looking for in a Purchasing Coordinator

  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong communication skills to maintain positive supplier relationships - ESSENTIAL
  • Previous experience with Procurement/ERP Systems such as SAP - ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of paper packaging manufacturing requirements 
  • Must hold a UK Driving License
