Job Title: Finance Business Manager
Location: Wylam
Salary: £55k-£65k DOE
Are you an experienced financial professional ready to lead in a growing innovative engineering environment?
We are are partnered with a growing Engineering company who are looking for a strategic thinking Finance Business Manager to join their Team. The successful candidate will need to be experienced with financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead audit preparations and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with operational teams in the business to understand cost drivers, improve efficiency and support project-based accounting.
- Implement robust cost control measures, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
- Partner with operational teams to improve cost efficiency and project-based accounting.
- Mentor non-finance colleagues and contribute to strategic decision-making.
What You Bring:
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA); MBA desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in management accounting, ideally in engineering or manufacturing.
- Proven track record of participating in audits, including preparation and management of audit processes.
- Extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and buyouts, including due diligence and integration.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, and financial regulations.
- Strong leadership with analytical and communication skills.
