Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester

Salary 33,000 + bonuses

Hours: Mon - Friday 9:00-17:30pm (Hybrid 2 days form home 3 office based)

Sea Freight Account Manager Overview:

Our client is the world's largest employee-owned logistics organization, and are currently seeking an experienced freight forwarding account manager to join a growing team in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

As an Ocean Freight Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing freight rates, quotes, and pricing solutions for key account customers, focusing on FCL & LCL. You will play a crucial part in business retention and delivering excellent customer service within the wholesale commercial team. This position offers a hybrid-working model, with 2 days from home and 3 days office-based.

You will work closely with the Business Development Team to ensure clients new are retained, with the primary objective of delivering year-on-year growth. You will act as an extension of the clients' business, providing a single point of contact from the initial enquiry through to quotations, bookings, delivery, and aftercare.

Sea Freight Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of new and existing accounts
  • Maximize revenue opportunities from existing accounts by proactively pursuing underdeveloped areas
  • Follow company account management/sales policies and procedures
  • Provide and record timely, accurate, competitive pricing while maintaining maximum profit margin
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new services
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by the company
