Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer / Team Lead, for a technically advanced manufacturer, based in North East Hampshire.

This role is on a permanent basis and is predominantly based at the company's manufacturing facility.

Are you an Electronic Hardware Engineer, looking to join a renowned leader in the development of cutting-edge underwater technology, where you will be working primarily on NPI and NPD projects for Defence and Maritime industries?

You will be in a key role, responsible for designing, developing and delivery of high-quality electronic hardware, as well as providing technical mentorship of other engineers.



The Company

Established for over 50 years, they are well-known for their innovation and growth, now offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions in subsea technology.



The Role:

This role would suit someone with a broad background in Electronics Hardware, with a desire to take a technical lead, and develop the electronics team

You'll be a key member of the Engineering team, operating at the intersection of design / development and manufacturing. Your time will be split 70/30 - primarily focusing on Electronics Hardware, with around 30% of your time being spent assisting and guiding more junior engineers.

  • Design, develop, test and deliver high quality electronics hardware, on a range of subsea instruments from underwater acoustic modems to data loggers and much more
  • Lead planning, architecture, development and validation of new hardware designs
  • Lead and mentor an engineering team, including experts in analogue, digital and PCB design, including junior engineers
  • Maintain existing products, whilst working closely with the NPI team to ensure successful transition between development and production phases


The Individual:

We're looking for people who can show:

  • Extensive experience in Electronics Hardware engineering, with a background in manufacturing
  • Expert in Analogue Electronics
  • Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline such as Electronics Engineering
  • Experience at a Senior or Team lead level
