Learning Support Assistant (Permanent)
Location: Yateley
Salary: Competitive (Full-time or Part-time)

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment? An Independent, All-through School in Yateley is seeking committed and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their growing team. With the recent expansion and the opening of a new site, we are looking for additional staff to help us continue providing outstanding education and care to our students.



Key Details:

  • Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible.
  • Contract Type: Permanent.
  • Hours: Full-time or part-time positions available.
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.


About the School:

Our Independent School caters to students from early years through to secondary level, with a high number of students with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. The school offers a nurturing, student-centred environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. With our recent expansion and the opening of a new site, we are excited to welcome new members to our team.



Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with additional needs across a range of ages.
  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities that meet the needs of each student.
  • Supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and promoting the well-being of students.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs is desirable, but not essential.
  • A caring and compassionate nature, with a passion for supporting young people.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally, with ongoing training provided.
