An excellent, well resourced special school in Yeovil is looking for an experienced In-Class Support Assistant. You may have worked as a support worker, in-class support worker or a Learning Support Advisor previously. You may have a related qualification or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience. You would be able to support children with the range of special educational needs including learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory, speech and language impairments and behavioural difficulties.
The school has great feedback from parents and supply staff. The staff team are supportive and welcoming. The school is easily accessible by public transport. The school needs people who can commit to 5 days a week. If you are experienced and able to work full time this can be reflected in your rate of pay.
You will need to be confident in adapting the lesson activity according to pupil's individual needs

The pay rate is £12.81* an hour. The day is 7 hours with an unpaid 30 min lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £83.29* but with a potential to earn more based on level of experience. *Including holiday pay
Essential criteria:
Previous experience working with individuals with SEN/Autism/Complex Needs/SEMH is desirable
Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
Minimum of 2 references and relevant DBS/ Police checks.*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
