Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Yeovil on a full-time day shift, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics and Repairs:
    Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on a variety of HGVs, covering mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections to prevent breakdowns and enhance fleet performance.
  • Safety Inspections and Compliance:
    Carry out safety checks and inspections to ensure all vehicles comply with legal standards and company safety policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain thorough records of all repairs, inspections, and services, following company protocols and DVSA guidelines.
  • Parts and Inventory Support:
    Identify, replace, or order parts as needed, ensuring timely availability and effective stock management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience:
    Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing HGV systems.
  • Certification:
    NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in diagnostic tools and a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in HGVs.
  • Attention to Detail:
