Sharp Consultancy are currently working with a fantastic business based in York that are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact to what is a well-established, yet growing manufacturing business. This role has scope for development through to Financial Controller leading a team of 4 in the next couple of years.

In this role, you will oversee financial operations, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the financial health of the business. Working directly with the Finance Director and alongside a variety of senior stakeholders across the business; your role will blend both the financial and commercial elements of finance including:

Prepare monthly management information (MI), financial key performance indicators (KPIs), and reports.
Manage cash flow and maintain internal controls.
Develop and refine systems and processes to enhance efficiency and drive automation.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through overhead reviews and reductions.
Lead the development and implementation of finance-related projects.
Oversee the evaluation and training of finance department staff.
Develop, analyse, report, and monitor staff KPIs.
Coordinate and monitor office operations to meet company requirements.
Conduct financial planning and analysis using MI and KPI reports.
Manage and develop accounting systems and the finance function.
Analyse and identify profitability across all business areas.
Provide strategic and commercial support to senior management.
Participate in ad hoc projects and contribute to business operations.
